Open fire-places.-A fire-place of the type which is moulded in one piece from cement or the like, with or without metallic reinforcement, comprises a slab front A adapted to fit within the brick jambs, a forwardly-projecting back C with an open recessed fire-space having a grate opening F and an ash-chamber beneath it enclosed by a bow or straight front G or H, together with an enclosed flue passage E to the chimney.
