1400222 Mining equipment COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS) Ltd 8 Nov 1973 [24 Nov 1972] 54366/72 Addition to 1265171 Heading E1F [Also in Division B7] Provided on a machine 1 for use underground in mines and adapted in use to haul itself to and fro alone an elongated track member 13 by means comprising a plurality of sprockets 22, 23, drive means drivably connected to at least one of the sprockets, a continuous chain 21 engaged with the sprockets and having abutments 20 for engagement with formations 19 on the track member for movement of the machine therealong, is connector means for securing apparatus to the machine so that the apparatus can be pushed or hauled by the machine as it moves itself along the track. The apparatus may be a trolley 2 movable along the track or apparatus, e.g. a scraper, that when secured to the machine may be movable vertically with respect to the machine.
