Abstract

140,005. Mann, Egerton & Co., and Drummond, A. B. Aug. 25, 1919. Signs.-An internally-illuminated box sign has a front face 1 perforated with holes over all its surface. The face is covered by opaque paint, varnish, &c. 2, over which a further coating, e.g. in white paint, is placed to produce an advertisement 3 visible by daylight. The paint &c. is then removed from the holes covered by the advertisement so that the latter is also visible in the dark when the sign is illuminated inside. Coloured rays may be projected through the holes, or a coloured screen may be combined with the face 1 The advertisement may be readily changed.
