1397868 Photographic silver-salt diffusion transfer process FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 17 April 1973 [17 April 1972] 18499/73 Heading G2C A photographic silver-salt diffusion transfer process is carried out using a light-sensitive silver halide material containing in at least one layer a compound of the formula:- where R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>, and R<SP>4</SP>, are each H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, carboxy or sulpho or a salt thereof, e.g. resorcinol or its 4-chloro-, 4-bromo-, 4:6- dichloro-, 2:4:6-trichloro-, 4-methoxy-, 2- or 4- methyl, 4-sulpho- or 2-, 4- or 5- carboxy derivatives. Improved density and contrast and reduced fog are obtained.
