1310750 Photographic emulsions ILFORD Ltd 3 Nov 1971 [1 Dec 1970] 57079/70 Heading G2C Photographic silver halide emulsions are super-sensitized by a combination of dyes of formulae: (in which Y and Z are each O, S, Se or -CH=CH-; R 1 , R 6 , R 14 , and R 15 are each alkyl; R 2-5 and R 7-1 0 are each H, halogen, aryl or alkyl or alkoxy; A is O or R 13 ; R 11 and R 13 are each H, alkyl, aralkyl or aryl; R 12 is optionally substituted alkyl; X is anion or is absent when R 12 is sulphoalkyl; D completes a hetero-cyclic ring system).
