Abstract

1397605 Electro-photographic copying RANK XEROX Ltd 23 June 1972 29648/72 Heading G2H In an electro-photographic copying method an original to be copied is moved continuously forwardly past an exposure slit 11, the charging coratron 27 for the sensitive drum 14 then being switched off whilst the original is fed in the reverse direction in preparation for a further forward movement past the slit to produce a second copy. The original is transported from feed-in slot 10 by a system of conveyer belts. When only a single copy is required the document is either delivered to rear exit slot 13 or is returned to the front of the machine for delivery into a tray 12.
