Abstract

1449180 Electrophotographic printing XEROX CORP 10 Dec 1973 [11 Dec 1972] 57183/73 Heading B6C [Also in Divisions G2-G3] In a xerographic copying machine, misfeeding of copy sheets to the developed image transfer station C is sensed by a detector 24 and the signal produced used: (a) to move the transfer roller 20 away from the developed image carrying photoconductive belt 12; (b) to remove the electrical bias from the roller 20; (c) to stop the drive motor 19 of the developer apparatus 18; and (d) to erase subsequent latent images by exposure to a lamp 17.
