Abstract

1438969 Electro-photographic copying machine MITA INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 24 Sept 1973 [24 Sept 1972] 44737/73 Heading G2H In a copying machine of the kind employing a xerographic drum 6 from which a toner image formed thereon is transferred to plain copy paper b in a transfer zone 8; the copy papers b are forwarded along a substantially linear upwardly inclined passage 23 from an inlet end 3Sc, through the transfer zone 8 to a discharge end, the inlet end 35c being preceded by nip rollers 31, 31' adjacent thereto. The copy papery b may be cut off by a mechanism 32 from a reel 27 of paper b', or separate sheets b" may be fed into an opening 52 of a paper transporting passage 23'. The machine includes corona charging devices 9, 10, 14, a line by line optical exposure system 16, a magnetic brush developing device 13, a stripping device 37 and a drum cleaning device 41. Electrical control circuitry for the machine is illustrated.
