Abstract
1397013 Tubular heat exchangers; liquid heating systems TULIFAVERKEN AB 10 April 1973 [14 April 1972] 17155/73 Headings F4A and F4S A heat exchanger comprises a body of fluid contained in a vessel 1 subdivided by a wall 5 into an outer zone 6 encircling an inner zone 7, the said zones communicating with each other at their ends, a heat exchange element 2 carrying a second fluid being positioned in the inner zone 7 at a level below that of another heat exchange element 3 which is positioned in the outer zone 6. The elements 2, 3 preferably comprise helical coils made of commercial gilled tubing. The vessel 1 may in cross-section be circular or rectangular, and it may be heat insulated. In a preferred use all the fluids are liquids. Hot water FV from a district heating system circulates through the coil 2 to heat the liquid in the vessel 1 this liquid RV being circulated through radiators and at the same time heating domestic supply water KV, VV circulating through the coil 3.
