Abstract

The boiler has several cylindrical water tubes connected in parallel between a flow header and a return header. Each tube contains an electrical resistance heating element which is thermostatically controlled. A circulating pump returns water from radiators into the return header. Two tubes connect the return header to an expansione vessel behind the tubes. There are further cylindrical tubes fitted between the heating tubes. Each of these contains a coil of pipe through which domestic hot water flows. This is heated by conduction from the heating tubes and its temp. is controlled by a mixing valve between the flow and cold feed.
