Abstract

The boilers (1) are gradually brought into use with a rising demand for heat and deliver the heated fluid via a common buspipe to a heat exchanger, the secondary side of which is part of a warm tap water circuit including one or more circulating pumps. After flowing through the heat exchanger, the primary fluid is pumped into the secondary central heating circuit, the return (52) from which is connected to the boiler inlet header. A three-way valve can be provided, operating in accordance with the demand for warm tap water, to regulate the proportion of primary fluid passing through the heat exchanger. Each boiler can have its own circulation pump controlled by a unit reacting to the temperature of the fluid delivered to the outlet header.
