Abstract

The device includes a tube (3) having hairpin shaped heater elements in it, this tube in the form of a rectangular frame having inlet (5) and outlets (6). The tubes (4) are mounted in collars (2) on a support plate (1) and interconnected at each end by T-pieces (5,6) centrally coupled into the main water conduit. At one end of each tube (4,2) is inserted a sheathed, hairpin-shaped resistive heating element (7), with associated thermostat tube (12) on a mounting disk (9). The latter is clamped in place by a threaded ring (10) and the element is connected (13) to the electrical supply. The elements are steadied in the tubes, and wall contact prevented, by circular spacers (14), each having a central opening to allow fluid flow and 6 holes opening to the periphery, into two of which the element's sheathed legs are clipped.
