Abstract
1395842 Tonelopsis utilis LACHEMA NARODNI PODNIK 26 June 1973 [26 June 1972] 30412/73 Heading C6F Tonelopsis utilis is grown in a nutrient medium which contains 2.5-7% sugar and substances other than citric acid, produced during the citric acid fermentation of Aspergillus niger. The additive substances may result from citric acid fermentation of molasses by A.niger (e.g. the mycelium and/or waste liquor from the fermentation) and may be included as 40-60% by volume of the nutrient medium. Where the mycelium is used it may be added in the wet state or may be dried, e.g. in air at about 60‹C, before addition, and is preferably added in an amount of 5-15% <SP>M</SP>/V calculated on the basis of a content of 25 wt. per cent dry matter. The nutrient medium may also comprise growth stimulants, including one or more B vitamins.
