Abstract

1394623 Connectors S.A.R.L. TECHNILEC 8 June 1973 [13 June 1972] 27444/73 Heading E2A [Also in Division H2] A device bearing electrical connectors 26, 27 has a base 1 with a pair of hooks 2b at one end and a toggle link arrangement at the other end, the toggle link arrangement also carrying a pair of hooks 21b, the arrangement being such that with the first mentioned hooks 2b engaging within respective anchorages 32 and the second mentioned hooks also engaging with respective anchorages 32 the toggle link arrangement is actuated so that the base 1 is urged towards the member 31 in which the anchorages are situated. The toggle link arrangement comprises a cover 8 acting as a lever pivotally mounted on the base and a yoke 16 carrying the hooks 21b pivotally mounted on the cover 8. The pivot 7 for the cover 8 extends at each of its ends into a respective slot in the yoke 16 to limit the angular relative movement between the cover 8 and yoke 16. The base I and cover are provided with interengaging parts for keeping the cover 8 in its base covering position (Fig. 3c, not shown). A spring 15 is interposed between the cover 8 and the yoke 16. The base is provided with sockets for reception of a plug and an earthing pin connected to the hooks 2b (Fig. 2, not shown). The cover 8 has a collar for reception of the aforementioned plug. A tool is required for disengaging the interengaging parts of the base 1 and cover 8. Alternatively the cover may be generally round such that pressure at opposite sides thereof extends the cover along an axis transverse to the pressure so disengaging the interengaging parts.
