Abstract

[Also in Division H2] Housings for containing mating electrical connectors are made of a resilient insulating material such as hard nylon and are held together by the engagement of forward lug 14 on the upper side of plug portion 2 with hooked end 16 of latch arm 18 formed integrally with socket portion 4 through struts 19, which deform resiliently when the latch arm is lifted to disengage-hook 16 from lug 14. The electrical connectors are secured in position by the engagement of their ears 32, Fig. 6 (not shown) with bosses 40 and 50, 52, Fig. 8 (not shown). Specification 921,565 is referred to.
