Abstract
1393568 Fuses SIEMENS AG 16 Oct 1972 [16 Oct 1971] 47648/72 Heading H2G A housing 3 enclosing a fuse element 6, mounted on contact blades 4 is filled with an arc extinguishing medium, e.g. sand, through an aperture 7, disposed in the walls 1, 2 of the housing at the apex of the surface formed from inner surfaces 16, 17, 18, such that none of these surfaces extends perpendicular to the axis of the aperture, to ensure that no spaces are left when the arc extinguishing medium is added. In a further embodiment (Figs. 1, 2, not shown), the aperture (7) is formed through one side (1) of the housing (3) and is contiguous with tapered walls (10) and (11), which extend in an approximately funnel shape the aperture (7) being the apex thereof.
