Abstract

1392954 Mixing liquids in proportions SANDOZ Ltd 18 July 1972 [22 July 1971] 33529/72 Heading B1C Apparatus for mixing two liquids in a desired ratio comprises overflowing constanthead containers 12, 24 discharging to a mixing tank 38 through conduits 42, 44 which are sized to provide pre-determined flow rates or have metering restrictors or orifices 48, 50. As shown the liquids mix in a downpipe 46 before discharge into the tank 38, the level in which is controlled by a float 58 operating shut-off means not described. The mixture is circulated by a pump 60 through conduits 56, 62 to which a supply conduit 56 is connected. As described, the liquids are water and a concentrate for making a dialysate liquid.
