Abstract

1391410 Axial-flow pumps DR-ING H C F PORSCHE AG 5 July 1973 [4 Aug 1972] 32040/73 Heading F1C A pump. rotor 15 is mounted at the free extremity of a pressure pipe 9 which is connected to the driving motor 12, an annular flange 6 being releasably connected to an annular flange 7 surrounding an opening 3 of a fuel tank 4 when the pump is used for pumping fuel from the tank. The flanges 6, 7 are connected by a V-section metal strap 2. After release of the strap 2 and a quick-release coupling (not shown) at the discharge connection 8, the pump can be removed from the tank and inserted into a barrel or another fuel tank so as to refill the tank 4 via a hose. During refilling, the motor 12 may be switched to run at a higher speed.
