Abstract

1455533 Fuel supply systems TRW Inc 28 Jan 1975 [30 Jan 1974] 3714/75 Heading F1C An aircraft fuel supply system comprises a first centrifugal booster pump 12, a positive displacement pump 13 communicating with a flow control unit 16, and an ejector pump 20 in series with a second centrifugal pump 21 so as to draw off vapour from high points 17 in the system and deliver it to a point 28 between pumps 12 and 13 at a higher pressure to prevent vapour lock of pump 13. Pumps 21 and 12 may have a common hub and disc, Fig. 2 (not shown) and may also have a common pumping chamber. Also, the ejector pump 20, may be energized by excess fluid from the flow control unit 16 or by a portion of the fluid from a point between pumps 12 and 13.
