Abstract

1391263 Fencing A J BARRETT 1 June 1972 [24 June 1971] 29707/71 Heading E1B A fence comprises panels or rails 3 having undercut projections 7 slidably engaged in undercut grooves 5 in posts 1 mounted in the ground. Alternatively the grooves may be in the ends of the rails or panels and the projections on the posts. The grooves and projections may be T, arcuate, dovetailed or mushroom section. An aperture 9 in the top of the post receives a spigot on the base of a cap. The members are preferably made in semi-rigid plastics, but may be of metal or wood. The posts may only have grooves or projections on two adjacent or opposite faces. In railings, spacers are provided in the grooves to space the rails apart.
