Abstract

An artificial brick wall or other garden panelling comprises posts fixed into the ground, covers 1, 2 for the posts and panels 4 fitted between the posts. The coversand the panels 4 are decorated according to a chosen design, for example to resemble a brick wall. The posts are fixed into the ground by metal spikes. The covers 1, 2 fit over the posts. The covers 1, 2 may have moulded into them the male side of an interlocking swivel joint and the panels 4 may have moulded into them the female side of an interlocking swivel joint. Wedge shaped base panels 3 may also be provided to accommodate uneven ground surfaces.

Description

ARTlFlCL\L BRICK PANEkElNG This invention relates to garden panelling. The invention mimics the effect of traditional brick walls made from various brick designs. An.rtihcial structure which is attached by means of pQStS inserted into the ground then panels slot between them giving optional finishes to the traditional wooden fence panel.
Garden panelling provides a virtually maintenance free option.
Desi_ns can vary to provide different overall effects with different colour options, lengths and height.
Panels would not rot or disintegrate.
According to the present invention there is provided a division of property boundaries by means of solid panels with vertical posts securely fixed into the ground by metal spikes. The Vertical panels secure between the posts at the edges to provide division of boundaries of varying lengths.
The object of this invention is to provide an attractive and different textured option to the currently available boundary fence panel.
Preferably the panelling is made of heavy duty plastic moulding with strength being provided by securely fixed wooden posts and metal spies concreted into the ground.
There is the option of adding additional facial cappings and finishings as well as artificial gateways of similar designs, archways and curved panelling.
Figure 1 shows the finished brick effect panelling.
Figure 2 illustrates dwarf wall with optional designs incorporating artificial wood panelling and artificial wrought iron effect.
Figure 3 shows interlocking swivel joint of how a pillar and panel joins together. Figure 4 illustrates optional finishing feature which can be added.
Figure 5 shows inner fixing post.
Figure 6 illustrates custom panel for uneven ground.
Figure 7 shows the facial cover which slides down over figure 5 enabling panels to be joined together.
Figure 8 shows the same principle as in figure 7 with larger pillars.
Figure 9 illustrates one side of the panel and the interlocking female slot with is moulded into the panel.
Referring to the drawings the artificial panelling comprises post and pillar covers 1 and 2 with panel 4 slotting in between. The wooden post 8 is secured in the ground by 9 a metal spike. 1 and 2 slide down over 8 and obscure 8 by the chosen panel design.
The panels at 3 and 4 have moulded into them the female side of the interlocking swivel joint which can be angled at various degrees. The post covers 1 and 2 have moulded into them the male side of the interlocking swivel
joint. Male fittings can be incorporated on one or more sides of pillars 1 and 2 as required.
It is 8 and 9 that give the artificial panelling strength and stability. 1, 2, 3 and 4 have optional facial surfaces including brick, masonry, block, wood and stone effect. 5 shows a dwarf wall with 6 and 7 optional wrought iron or wood features. To level uneven ground a female wedge base panel is available 3.

Claims (6)

1 An artificial garden panelling to divide property boundaries by means of decorative panels with vertical posts and pillars securely hxed into the ground by metal spikes. Pillars slide down over the posts the vertical panels secure between the pillars and covered posts at the edges to provide division of boundaries of varying lengths.
2 An artificial garden panelling as claimed in Claim I which has slot
together interlocking male and female fixings moulded into the panels which allow for varying angles of boundaries including straight ones.
3 An artificial garden panelling as claimed in Claims I and 2 which has a custom panel for use on uneven ground. The custom panel slides between the pillar and covered post to provide a levelling base tor the panel to then slide down on top.
4 An artificial garden panelling as claimed in Claim 1, 2 and 3 wherein posts provide the means of strength and stability.
5 An artificial garden panelling as claimed in any preceding Claim whereby panels slot over and slide down between pillars and covered posts with finishing cappings if desired.
6 An artificial garden panelling substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
