1391260 Alpha-numeric displays COUNTING INSTRUMENTS Ltd 5 July 1972 [18 May 1971] 15448/71 Heading G5C [Also in Division G2] A display device comprises a housing 10 containing a plurality of light sources 20, a diffuser screen 34 and hexagonal light guides 16 extending from each source to the screen. W filament lamps are mounted on a metal sheet 22 and pressed against contacts 28 on a printed circuit board. The housing is of metal, anodized or painted blocks. The assembly is held together by spring clips 36. The guides are hexagonal with curved or V-shaped ends, and may be tapered.
