Abstract

1382242 Display devices JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 6 March 1972 [5 March 1971] 6213/71 Heading G5C [Also in Divisions F4 and H2] In a monitoring apparatus in which successive lamps of higher power are energized at predetermined values of the monitored quantity, each of the lamps, e.g. 10, 11, 12, are of different construction and/or size such that each of the respective mounting means 25, 26, 27 therefor are incapable of properly receiving lamps of higher power than that which they are specifically intended to accommodate in the apparatus. As shown, lamp 10 has a screw-threaded base engaged by a mount 25 and the different-sized festoon lamps 11, 12 are supported by spring clips 26, one of which includes a block 29 to prevent the larger bulb 12 from being connected thereto. The lamps are mounted within separate compartments in the support 21, which carries a printed circuit board 27 at its base to provide connections to the lamps. A transparent or translucent panel 30 covers the compartments in the support, and the lamps 10, 11, 12 may have wattages of 2À2, 6 and 10 respectively. A flashing control may be associated with lamp 11 and a buzzer with lamp 12.
