Abstract

1458342 Matrix displays STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 14 Aug 1975 33865/75 Heading G5C A light emitting character device is mounted on one face of a heat sink block 1 and connected to shift registers 10, 11 on another face of the block. The sink comprises an A1 bar on which are mounted six LED assemblies each comprising a 35 dot or 16 bar array. A plastic cover 18 with a window 16 extends over the assembly. On each side of the block three carrier boards 9 with edges bent through 90 degrees are mounted. Printed circuit boards 15 extend along the sink and are connected to the register boards 9 by lead frames 16.
