1357097 Fault indicator JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 1 Oct 1971 [9 Oct 1970] 48067/70 Heading G5C A fault indicator for a vehicle comprises a framework holding a number of transparent display panels 19, each of which is illuminated by a bulb 23 at each end. The panels 19 each carry a legend in the form of a series of indentations, so that when a fault develops in the vehicle, the relevant panel is illuminated by bulbs 23 and the legend can be seen through an aperture 17 in the dashboard 16 and the window 13. A modification has two sets of panels 19 adjacent each other.
