Abstract
1389052 Pressure exchangers BBC BROWN BOVERI & CO Ltd 16 Feb 1972 [18 Feb 1971] 7225/72 Heading F1N Gas leaking between the rotor 20 and casing 23, 24, 25 of a pressure exchanger collects in inner and outer spaces 22, 30 in permanent communication with the inner and outer ends, respectively, of a recess LT in either or both of the casing end portions 23, 24, the recess feeding the leakage gas into the rotor's cells at a point in the cycle which provides a pre-compression stage for the compressed gas and/or improved scavenging of the low-pressure expanded gas.
