Abstract

1386924 Cleaning by high-pressure jets EUROCLEAN AB 30 Aug 1973 [8 Sept 1972] 40873/73 Heading A4F In a washing and high-pressure jet cleaning apparatus including a jet nozzle 23 and an injector 4 for supplying washing agent to the apparatus, a valve 11 in a conduit 8, 9 by-passing the injector 4 opens the by-pass on a rise of pressure in a conduit 17 downstream of the injector 4 and closes the by-pass on a pressure decrease in the conduit 17, the pressure variations being effected by valve means 18 in the conduit 17. During cleaning with the use of washing agent a pump 1 supplies fluid at highpressure to the injector 4 where washing agent from a container 7 is added, the mixture passing to the nozzle 23 via an open valve 19 in the valve means 18, and the valve 11 being closed. For cleaning with a high-pressure jet without washing agent the valve 19 is momentarily closed to increase the pressure in the conduit 17 which increase is applied via a conduit 15 to a piston 12 to open the valve 11 against the action of a spring 14. Fluid is then applied to the nozzle 23 at high pressure via the by-pass 8, 9 for a desired period terminated by closing the valve 11 by opening a bleed valve 21 in the valve means 18. The valves 19, 21 may be combined in a single rotary valve Fig.2 (not shown).
