1385103 Yarn guides for knitting machines ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 12 May 1972 [2 June 1971] 22314/72 Heading D1C Yarn being fed between two guides 3 adjacent a bearing surface 7 is braked by the convexly curved surface of an element 6 movable from a position clear of the yarn path to a position engaging the bearing surface. Guides 3 are provided in a guide 1 controlled by rod 9 from a control drum and, when guide 1 is operative to feed yarn, braking segment 5 carrying element 6 is held off the yarn whereas, when guide 1 is inoperative, segment 3 falls under its own weight and element 6 grips the yarn.
