Abstract

1436523 Yarn measuring drums OFFICINE SAVIO SpA 15 March 1974 [16 March 1973 29 Jan 1974] 11694/74 Heading D1E Yarn 10 supplied by continuously rotating rollers 11 and withdrawn by rollers 14 is held against a measuring drum 15 by suction. One or more sensors 18, 19 may control the amount of yarn on the drum by varying either or all of the speeds of the supply rollers 14, drum 15 or take-off rollers 14. The sensors 18, 19 may be air jet, micro switches or photoelectric. Only part of the drum (Figure 5, not shown) may be under suction.
