993,877. Spinning-apparatus. VYZKUMNY USTAV BAVINARSKY. Nov. 9, 1962 [Nov. 9, 1961], No. 42331/62. Heading D1D. In apparatus for continuously spinning yarn from staple fibres comprising a rotatable spinning chamber 4 and means for supplying fibres to the collecting-surface 7 of the chamber, to falsetwist the yarn, a concave funnel-shaped surface 13 is provided in the chamber behind the surface 7 in the direction in which the yarn is taken off. A band of fibres is supplied by rollers 2 and conveyed to the chamber by a tube 3 mounted askew in a fixed cover 9 and having a flattened-inlet 3a and ending in a curve at 3c to match the curvation of the chamber. As the chamber rotates, a reduced pressure is established by channels 10 at the collecting-surface. The member 13 and the tube 3 may rotate.
