Abstract
1383935 Reciprocating pumps DIVERSEY DEVELOPMENT Ltd 4 June 1973 [21 June 1972] 28948/72 Heading F1A A pump, e.g. for transferring detergent from a container to a dish-washing machine, comprises a soft iron tube 1 connected by bellows 4, 6, e.g. of plastics, metal or rubber, to inlet and outlet pipes 9, 3, non-return valves 7, 8 and 10 being provided, and the tube being reciprocated by A.C. energization of an induction coil 11. Delivery may be regulated by controlling the width or the width and amplitude of the A.C. pulses or by a thyristor. Alternatively, Fig. 2 (not shown), a bypass (12) incorporating an adjustable throttle valve (13) may be connected upstream of bellows 6 and downstream of valve 8. The tube 1 may have a corrosion-preventing coating.
