Abstract
1,131,844. Filling containers. ATOMENERGI, A.B. 5 Nov., 1965 [6 Nov., 1964], No. 47056/65. Heading B8T. [Also in Division F1] Apparatus for filling receptacles 1 with predetermined quantities of a plurality of liquids or gases, e.g. radio-active solutions, comprises a plurality of pneumatically actuated pumps 5, Fig. 1, drawing from separate reservoirs 15 and delivering to separate delivery pipes 3, the inlet and delivery valves 7, 6 comprising flexible tubes 10b, 10a mounted in chambers which are pressurized pneumatically to compress the tubes and shut the valves. The pump piston and inlet and outlet valve movements are controlled by an electric motor-driven camshaft 36 having cams 39 to 41 actuating valves 44 to 46 which act to connect the pumps and valve chambers to an air supply 52 or exhaust. Cams 37, 38 and valves 42, 43 control movement of a piston 24, Fig. 2, and a latching member 30 for moving a table 2 carrying receptacles 1. The pump piston stroke in adjustable by screw 21.
