Abstract

1382803 Switching systems CREDA ELECTRIC Ltd 5 Nov 1971 [8 Aug 1970] 38312/70 Heading H2H [Also in Division H1] An arrangement for use in an off-peak supply system includes a relay with at least one set of contacts B1 and two energizable operating means 21 and 22 capable of independent energization to operate the contacts B1. The Figure shows a meter 10 complete with a time switch 12 for changing the metering arrangements during off-peak periods and including a relay RL/A having contacts A1 which are closed only during such periods to cause energization of the coil 22 so that contacts B 1 are closed to connect the supply to the load R. During peak periods the contacts B 1 are normally open but a manual switch S 1 can be closed to cause energization of the coil 21 and consequential closure of contacts B1. The relay 21, 22, B1 can be electromagnetic or thermal. In Fig. 2 (not shown) two heater coils influence a single contact carrying bimetal strip.
