Abstract

1379611 Dyeing cellulosic materials CIBAGEIGY AG 22 Dec 1971 [23 Dec 1970 4 Oct 1971] 59677/71 Heading D1B Preparations which contain (a) a dye of formula in which D is a radical of an azo or antraquinone dye, X is a number from 1 to 4, R is hydrogen or a lower (i.e. C 1 to C 4 ) E is -N= -CH= or #C-N-(ZOH) 2 in which each Z is an alkylene radical of 2 to 5 carbon atoms and n is 1 or 2, (b) a synthetic resinforming intermediate product or an aminoplast which is soluble or at least dispersible in water, (c) an acid catalyst and (d) optionally further additives, are used in the dyeing and printing and simultaneous finishing of cellulose material which is impregnated or printed with aqueous liquor or liquors containing the above ingredients followed by drying or storing the material at room temperature followed by subjecting the material to a treatment at elevated temperature followed by optionally washing. Preferably 10 to 100 g/1 of dye are used with 50 to 300 g/1 of synthetic resin intermediate heating 'being at 100 to 220‹C for 30 seconds to 30 minutes. The aminoplast may be an addition product of formaldehyde with a 1,3,5- aminotriazine, oxydiaminotriazine, dioxyaminotriazine, triazone, guanamine, urea or thiourea.
