Abstract

1373255 Spinning yarns; air jets KONRAD GOTZFRIED 6 Oct 1971 [7 Oct 1970] 46469/71 Headings DID D1F and D1W Staple fibre and continuous filaments are twisted together by passing slivers 1, 2 of the fibres and filaments into a slot 6 where an air stream laterally spreads the fibres, passing the fibres and filaments through a braking zone 8 and into a twisting zone 9 where a helically flowing air current twists the fibres and filaments together with fibres forming a sheath around a fibre/filament core, and passing the twisted product into a reverse-twisting zone 10 of large cross section than the twisting zone. The yarn produced has opposite twist in the sheath and core.
