Abstract

1372371 Fuel injectors BRYCE BERGER Ltd 5 Jan 1972 [22 Jan 1971] 2913/71 Heading F1B In a fuel injection nozzle having an adjustable abutment for resilient means 14 urging closed a valve-member controlling fuel-flow through a passage in a tubular body 10, the abutment comprises a flanged plug 17 in screw thread engagement with the body with shims intermediate the flange and the body whereby the force exerted on the valve-member can be adjusted. The shims may be C-shaped. A hardened steel plate prevents fretting of the plug by the spring.
