Abstract

137,199. Weatherill, F. April 7, 1919. Transformers. - An induction coil is provided with two primary windings P<1>, P<2> each of which extends over substantially half the length of the iron core A, the windings being arranged in parallel and wound so as to produce similar polarity at each end of the core. The secondary winding is formed in two equal sections S<1>, S<2> connected in series and wound so that the electromotive force impressed on each section acts in the same direction.
