Abstract

1371586 Ventilators ROBERTSON BAUELEMENTE GmbH 5 Oct 1972 [12 Nov 1971] 45862/72 Heading F4V [Also in Division F1] A ridge ventilator 101 is mounted on a pitched roof 11<SP>1</SP> having a roof opening 12<SP>1</SP>, and a ventilator throat 151 is defined by vertical side walls 13<SP>1</SP> and end walls 14<SP>1</SP>. The ventilator includes a cowling formed by outwardly and upwardly extending curved sheets 16<SP>1</SP>, and flat end walls 17<SP>1</SP>, a cap member 18<SP>1</SP> and vanes 20<SP>1</SP>. The cap member 18<SP>1</SP> has an acoustical absorbing surface 21 formed of a rigid perforated plate 22 and a layer 23 of fibrous material, e.g. mineral wool or glass fibres. In addition one or more panels 25 of acoustical absorbent material may be inserted transversely into the ventilator throat. The vanes 20<SP>1</SP> can be pivoted at 31 so that the passageway may be closed.
