Abstract

1,197,900. Ventilators. SARGENTS INSULATIONS Ltd. 17 Feb., 1969 [4 Dec., 1967], No. 55065/67. Heading F4V. In a louvre mounted in a wall opening, each slat 2 supports on its under surface sound attenuating material. In the form shown, a perforated or expanded metal sheet 3 supports a layer of mineral fibre wool. Another arrangement includes slabs of polyurethane foam or a thin sheet supported by each corresponding slat and spaced therefrom. The louvre is made of galvanized sheet steel, aluminium or plastics. Two or more such louvres may be connected side by side or one above another by clipping strips which co-operate with flanges on end plates 1. An insect screen may be provided. Each slat may be rounded in crosssection.
