Abstract

1368521 Releasable fastenings P CERUTTI 29 Sept 1972 [30 Sept 1971] 45166/72 Heading E2A A fastening, for an end of a tubular operating rod 5 which is rotatably mounted on a door 2 or 3, comprises a fastening member 8, Figs. 3, 4 and 7, having a portion 19' which is received in the operating rod 5, a portion 19 which is concentric with the rod 5 and has a groove 21, 21' formed therein, and a portion 20 which extends from the portion 19, the portion 20 being grooved at 20' and having a flat surface 22 which is offset relative to the axis of rotation of the rod by an amount b, Fig. 10, and comprises a stationary fastening member 9, Figs. 2 and 7, which is provided with inclined surfaces 15, 16, Fig. 6, and receives the fastening member 8 therein, Figs. 7, 8, 9, 10 show the sequential steps to effect fastening of the members 8, 9, the offset surface 22 of the portion 20 reacting with the point of the member 9 so that the member 18 is urged towards the fastening position.
