Abstract

1373431 Vehicle window NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 25 Jan 1972 [5 Feb 1971] 3502/72 Heading E1J A curved window pane 18 is mounted for slidable movement along a curved path 28 by at least two rollers 21 mounted on a curved track 19, the track being pivoted at its upper end in a vehicle's window well and adjustably mounted (e.g. by a screw 23) at its lower end, the centre of curvature 01 of the path 28 being coincident with that of the track, the radius of curvature of the track being greater than that, R 1 , of the window, the radius of curvature R 3 of the path 28 being greater than that of the track, and the centre of curvature 0 1 of the track being spaced from that, 0, of the window. A prior art sliding window, Fig. I (not shown), has the centres of curvature of the track, the path and the window coincident and the radii of curvature of the window and path the same as each other and greater than that of the track.
