1334671 Sliding doors and windows J T KERN and W H KERN [trading as APEX ENTERPRISES] 9 Nov 1970 [9 Aug 1969] 39940/69 Heading E1J A closure mechanism for sliding doors or windows comprises a cam 28' slidable in a channel 10 which has an end wall 24', engagement of the cam and end wall causing relative lateral displacement of the cam axis and the channel axis. The cam is pivoted to the floor beneath a door carrying the channel. On closing the door in the direction of arrow 32, the cam slides along the channel 10 and on reaching the end plate 24' the cam rotates and moves the door laterally into contact with the strips 43.
