1364899 Atomizing molten metal METALS & ALLOYS (BIRMINGHAM) Ltd 2 Jan 1973 [10 Dec 1971] 57482/71 Heading C7X [Also in Division G3] The oxygen content of the gas supplied to an atomizer 1 for forming metal powder is controlled by measuring the content at 7 and either manually or as a result of a signal adjusting the amount of argon or nitrogen and oxygen fed from cylinders 9, 10 respectively. The pressure in the system may be kept constant by an expansion gas holder 4. The powder and gas are separated in a cyclone 6.
