Abstract

1362064 Hammer mills SIMON-BARRON Ltd 16 Feb 1972 [11 March 1971] 6630/71 Heading B2A A hammer 22, Fig. 1, for a hammer mill, comprises a rectangular plate having an aperture adjacent one end for pivotal attachment to the rotor and at least two apertures 26 closely adjacent the other end which rupture when sufficient wear has occurred as indicated at 25, Fig. 2, presenting fresh cutting edges. The mill described comprises inlets 11 and 12 for product to be ground and air and the housing 10 includes an inner housing with a replaceable perforate portion in two halves 14a b. An air inlet 15 is provided at the base of the housing 10 and ground product is discharged via a chute 16. Five beaters 22 are mounted about shafts 21 spaced around a drum 20. The beaters cooperate with a kibbling plate 18.
