Abstract
1361928 Terminals C B HAEGERT 14 Feb 1972 6782/72 Heading H2E [Also in Divisions B3 and C7] The body of an electrical connector is made by die-casting under pressure a molten zinc base alloy comprising: Al 3À5 to 4À5%; Mg 0À02 to 0À6%; Fe 0 to 0À1%; Pb 0 to 0À007%; Cd 0 to 0À005%; Sn 0 to 0À005%; Cu 0 to 3À5%; the balance being Zn. The moulded body is quenched, and then cleaned in a bath of trichloroethylene and carbon tetrachloride; this treatment is said to improve the resistance of the connector to corrosion by H 2 SO 4 . The connectors disclosed are the same as those described in Specification 1,241,383.
