Abstract

1361436 Transformers UNELEC 3 Dec 1971 [14 Dec 1970] 56355/71 Heading HIT A polyphase transformer has the core formed of tubular magnetic members 1, 2, 3 linked with the 1.t. and h.t. windings, as shown. The core members being formed from sheet wound and annealed on a mandrel of suitable shape and then cut into lengths which are passed through the windings 4, 5 and 6 and reassembled. Circulation of cooling oil may be guided along the windings by screens 17. The windings may be held in place by packing 19 and the transformer may be enclosed in a bushing 21.
