Abstract

1358927 Hydraulic outboard drive SPERRY RAND CORP 11 Aug 1971 [12 Aug 1970] 37657/71 Heading B7V A marine craft outboard drive unit comprises a universal swivel mounting attachable to the transom 10 of the craft and the mounting has a first pair of hydraulic conduits 24. A propulsion unit 18 is attached to the swivel mounting and has a second pair of hydraulic conduits 68, 70 connected to the first pair. Hydraulic motor 72 is connected to conduits 68, 70 and propeller 86 is mechanically connected to be driven by the hydraulic motor. In the embodiment shown, T-shaped pintle member 28 and a pair of hollow arms 20 constitute the universal swivel mounting.
