Abstract

1357171 Weft-mixing shuttleless looms ENSHU Ltd 30 June 1971 30559/71 Heading D1E In an air jet loom weft threads 31a, 31b are pulled back between picks from alternately operated respective picking nozzles 1a, 1b by a pair of respective arms 119a and 119b which are pivoted on a fixed shaft 118, urged apart by a spring 123 and pivoted by respective abutments 128a, 128b on a sector disc 127 oscillated on the shaft 118 from a cam 129 rotated at half picking speed, abutments 126a and 126b on the arms releasing respective clamping means during picking. The degree of pull back is individually adjustable for each weft by an adjustable stop 130 for each arm 119. Each clamping means is disposed between a weft storage chamber F and an eye 111 through which the weft passes on its way via the arm 119 and a further eye in a guide rod 143 on the way to the picking nozzle and comprises a fixed resilient pad 108 and a resilient pad 114 on the arm 113 engaged by the respective arm 119.
