Abstract

1357148 Linear dimension gauges J MEIER 13 Sept 1971 [12 Sept 1970] 42576/71 Heading G1M A gauging or measuring device comprises a support surface 9 and a feeler head 2 having a contact surface or edge 1 defining with the surface 9 a measuring gap, the feeler head 2 being connected to a reduced part 4 which can be bent to cause deflection of the feeler head 2 in order to align the surface or edge parallel to the surface 9, a pair of screws 7 and 8 mounted in a sleeve 6 being provided to cause bending of the part 4. The part 4 may, as in Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown), have two reduced sections and associated pairs of adjusting screws, which sections are reduced, and adapted to be bent, in directions perpendicular to one another. Alternatively, as in Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), the part 4 may be of reduced circular section with four adjusting screws bearing on the part 4 or on the feeler head 2 itself.
