Abstract
135,411. Frost, G. A. April 1, 1919. Packing garters.-A container for a pair of men's garters consists of a paper or cardboard folder formed with means, such as a tongue, for holding the garters. As shown, the folder is formed with a slit diagonal tongue E, adapted to be inserted in a band B, Fig. 4, which, as described in Specification 28960/10, surrounds the garter A, the clasps a projecting in opposite directions through slots. Or, the tongue may be inserted in a fold of one of the garters or in a rubber ring H, Fig. 9, which surrounds the ga.rters. The folder may be provided with a fastening, such as a tab of soft metal adapted to be bent round the bottom edges of the folder. Advertising or descriptive matter is printed on the folders. A number of folders are stored in a box. For purpose of display, the parts C, D are separated at the bottom and the folder is employed as an easel, the garters being supported on the outside of the part D by the tongue E.
